Membership
Who can join?
Membership is open to anyone who loves running (or wants to) who is 18 years of age and older. You do not need to live in the South Orange/Maplewood area especially if you’re willing to schlep here! We are a club that celebrates diversity, so please come take a seat at our table!
Can I try before I buy?
Of course! Come to any of our weekly runs (Sunday/Wednesday/Friday) and see what we are all about! We ask that after 3 runs, you register and become an official member. This will cover you with our liability insurance.
Privileges of membership
Unlimited access to group workouts, fun runs, and our members-only Facebook page in which you can arrange social runs with other group members. If you don’t use Facebook, we will keep you in the loop via email.
Affiliate membership in the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).
Discount on all SFRC races.
Invitations to speaker events, carpools, and other group opportunities.
Invitation to the SOMA Fox Running Club’s annual party!
With great power comes great responsibility
Members must agree to the SFRC Code of Conduct which basically boils down to: be nice, be kind, be a good sport. Bigotry in any form will not be tolerated.
We hope our members will volunteer at club races, welcome new members, and look out for new runners. As you grow in experience and achieve your own goals, we hope that you will look over your shoulder and help your teammates achieve their goals, too.
